The first thing you need to do is to polish up your resume. You already have valuable experience regardless of the industry you’re in, so make sure to include it in your resume. Your resume should be tailored to the specific position you desire.

Certifications Are Important

While any type of experience is essential when making a career switch, some industries heavily value the degree of their candidates. If you’ve already completed four years of college, the idea of pursuing an additional formal education might be unsettling. However its important to understand that acquiring new certifications will help your resume stand out.
